Ok...tell me this...im building a 230 engine & the rings I bought for it are Hastings rings. So they come in 4 packages...one says "top ring compression" one says "2nd ring compression" one says "oil ring" & so does the 4th. So the one oil ring is single piece cast iron. The 4th package is the normal 3 piece oil rings. So which one goes 3rd & which one goes in the bottom groove? I put the 3 piece ring in the bottom groove as a guess but it doesn't say anywhere?
So I just looked at one of my nasty old pistons I had two sets...one had both oil rings that are one piece cast iron. The second set has the 3 piece oil ring in the 3rd groove & the cast iron one piece ring in the bottom groove???
Gotta love it when someone sells a product with no real instructions.
Anyone have any better idea than me?? Tom Petroff?? Dodge Boys? Calling all engine guys! :)
