I pulled the rings off one of the pistons & the oil gallery is much bigger on the bottom ring groove...like 4 or 5 times bigger than the 3rd groove. That confuses the issue even worse because obviously that’s where the bulk of the oil is going to be directed as the piston moves down and the 3 piece rings appear as though they’d allow the oil to pass through far easier.
Sheesh. Hate poor directions.
