I'm almost done rewiring the truck. Here's the problem - the old starter solenoid had 3 terminals, the new one has 4. According to the wiring diagram, it looks like the positive battery terminal connects on the right. Cable to the starter on the left. The two remaining terminals are labeled "S" and "I". The yellow wire in the picture runs to the ignition switch and is only hot when the ignition is turned. The red wire at the right side is power to the ignition. When I turn the ignition, I get no power to the starter.
The truck came with an alternator and I replaced it with another alternator which is internally regulated and has a single wire to the battery. I don't have all of the loose ends tied up from the old voltage regulator - don't know if that's contributing to the problem.
Any ideas are much appreciated!
