Solenoid 's' to igniton switch 's'.
Then the solenoid 'i' goes to the coil + side, which, when the starter is engaged, will then by-pass the ballast resistor between the coil + and the 'I' of the ignition switch. Or, if you have no ballast resistor in the ignition circuit, leave the 'I' wire off of the solenoid.
