Let's make sure it is wired properly:
- Negative cable from battery to ground
- Postive cable from battery to large terminal on solenoid. From the same terminal, run a 10 gauge wire to the plus side of the ammeter, from negative side of ammeter, run a 10 gauge wire to the ignition switch "bat" terminal
- Large cable from second solenoid large terminal to starter terminal
- Run a wire from the ignition switch "I" terminal to the ballest resistor terminal, wire from second ballest resister terminal to ignition coil plus side.
- Run a wire from negtive side of coil to distributor
If the ignition switch does not have an "S" terminal, you need a remote starter button switch. Run a wire from the ignition switch "Bat" terminal to starter button switch, run a wire from starter button switch to solenoid "S" terminal
This circuit will start and run the engine. Charging circuit next
