I ran across some photos that were taken at the 2001 VPW Rally and sent to me by Powerwagonjohn. Here is an image of a Gemmer power steering box removed from a FFPW (Farm Friendly Power Wagon).

This box first appeared listed in the 1957 K-Series pars list as a new offering for the W300 model Power-Wagon. (Remember our WDX-WM300 model 1-ton Power-Wagons were Model W300 for one year only - 1957, (until the new conventional styled W300 came out in 1958 and the old styled 1-ton changed to model W300M).

Most parts of this assembly are shown in the parts list as new numbers unique to the W300 Power Wagon, including: Cast housing, partial chuck, upper and lower mounting brackets, column jacket, tube and worm gears, some springs and bushings, steering gear arm, and other assorted parts. The majority of internal parts were shared with other power steering gear assemblies used on other trucks, but this particular assembly of components used on the W300 Power Wagon was unique to that truck. I must assume that the unique casting was a requirement in order to bolt up to the old Power-Wagon frame which had basically remained unchanged since 1946.

There are no Gemmer model numbers listed in the MoPAR parts list.

As time permits, I will check to see if this same box was used in later model years. I will also have more photos to share and will discuss some things I have found as far as the pump/s that were used on the W300-W300M Power-Wagons to feed this gear.
