My 1958 and 1959 parts lists confirm that this unique power steering box was used up through 1959 on the 1957 W300, and 1958 and 1959 W300M model Power-Wagons. Again this was a new number issued in, indicated as having never been used before that parts list, and unique to the 1-ton FFPW.

As far as a manual steering box, one can find in the parts list a part number for the complete assembly. When it came to the power steering box, typical of Dodge, they did not issue a part number for the complete unit. Instead, a pat number was issued for the "Partial Chuck" which would be kind of like a short block when one is talking about replacement engines. The part number for the partial chuck is 1667 382. I will be searching further to see if this assembly was used later than 1959.
