I thought so, my engine came with the same solenoid starter. This starter wasn't hard to find, but they tend to be expensive, $200-300. I had to open the casting shroud around the drive gear to give a little more clearance to the ring gear on the flywheel, but otherwise it fit right in. I've wanted to try one of those gear reduction starters that people have mentioned, but I was never able to pin down which one would fit.
