I remember the auction but do not know where it ended up. It was set up by the Michigan DNR for fighting forest fires, then transferred to the volunteer fire Dept when the state decided it to be surplus. The volunteer Dept modified the fire bed to suit their needs. Originally the bed had a removable frame with a 400 gal aluminum water tank, a John Bean pressure pump, a hose reel and a single cylinder Wisconsin motor for power, mounted on it.
