I had a '69 W500 for a few years. I loved that truck. I just wasn't using it and wanted to see someone else have it who might use it more.
It took me a couple of years to locate the special pto with the offset adapter (Thanks to Eric B.), and I eventually bought some of the hubs that one of the PW guys was having reproduced. Mine was a former firetruck that had been used by the Idaho Forest Service. Someone between the FS and me had bought it and removed whatever fire equipment it had, which was fine with me, because I enjoyed the flat bed. I always wished it had a hoist under the bed. Thankfully it had a factory power assist steering and hydrovac brakes. Anyway, it was a remarkable truck.
