Still adding things up but this piston is 3.257" Dia with .040 on the top. At first thought I think this piston is from a different engine? Could be wrong but the wrist pins keeper look funny and there is a 1/8+" gap for the wrist pin to move back and forth and bang into the keeper. I have a picture of it to post. What I do not know is what is the dia of a stock 230 piston to compare to. Rod journal was OD 2.0338" and bearing ID 2.0348 leaving a .001 gap for oil film??
To me this is great and since the bearings are .010 over I will replace them with new again since it is open. The oil pan was pretty clean inside and no buildup of sludge or nasty looking mix of thick additives. Will be easy to clean up to paint.
