flathead rebuild tips?

I am about to rebuild my 230 flathead six. I've read an article in Bunns, Dodge pickups on rebuilding flatheads. I was wondering if anyone had any other tips for me? I'm not looking to build a fire breathing dragon, just a good dependable daily driver. I was wondering if anyone had a better fan than the stock one? I was thinking about adding a shroud to the radiator. Any advice greatly appreciated.
