Kerosene and a toothbrush. Two bonus effects of the kerosene: 1) it cleans all of the grease from the pores, cuticles, and under the fingernails 2) it helps heal all those cuts, busted knuckles, and bleeding hangnails.

Finish up with a squirt of evaporating brake cleaner (but not on the skin).
