Cleaning small parts what do you use?

In restoring trucks I've found that cleaning small parts like nuts and bolts is a pain. I've looked at parts tumblers like Eastwood sells and was wondering what you use? Power Giants use fine thread bolts so I need to get them cleaned for painting and easier reassembly.
