They used to sell cigaretes too under the guise certain brands were "healthy" but we know better now days don't we. Yes anything in enough quantity can be harmful to life even life itself. You live long enough you will eventually die.
Regardless neither of these old practices changes the fact the chemicals I mentioned in relatively small amounts have been proven to cause cancer in humans.
