What's the best method and tool for patching in body panels? I'm thinking this is something I should learn how to do, and avoid the pop rivets and thick bondo route. In some places I can stamp flanges and spot-weld, but not in most places. I can't really afford a deluxe wire-feed welder, and I'm happy with my big old Victor torch for heavy welding, but there's no way to do sheet metal with a torch, even with a tiny tip, without making it look like potato chips. So, what's generally the good way of welding sheet metal nowadays?
