I'm pretty good at brazing, so maybe I'll try it on some scrap. I assume I'd have to cut the patch over-sized, make a flange around the hole on the original panel, and figure out some way to clamp the parts while brazing. Still, even if you're careful, you have to get them to a dull orange heat for brazing, and in my experience, that's more than enough to warp steel.
