There are old cars sitting in fields that have some parts that still look new. "Back in the day" there were suppliers that had pride in their workmanship. Their products aged well.
Who says the finish of that switch would have deteriorated?
Moreover, I can't help but wonder if any 1935 car had turn signals that were not after market add-ons - particularly one of the "low priced three". I have to believe that turn signals were not available and would not have been listed on that car's build sheet.
The first family car I remember was a 1938 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. Because of the war, we kept it until 1949. I was old enough to mess with every gadget and control and we didn't have no stinkin' turn signals.
