You still need to call for an inspection but you can wire, plumb & build to your hearts content...so long as Mr. building inspector is happy with your work.
Pretty darn simple stuff. I read the BC Electrical code book within 2hrs & wired my whole home within a week including a completely new panel & mast.
I've never really understood why people are scared of electricity? It's really just a matter of reading & understanding what you need to do before you start working, & lets be serious...it doesn't take a real high IQ to figure it all out.
I guess it's like checking your oil...if you leave your engine running & put your hand into the fan...you might get hurt!
If you change your oil & forget to tighten the drain plug...you might void your warranty!
I think the biggest obstacle regarding home renovations is realizing that none of it is difficult. Next...do your homework & buy the right tools.
Third...know when you're over your head!
I draw the line at concrete finishing!
