Well the last two days has been spent putting everything back together.

Put the fuel tank in, got it all replumbed. Swapped the tires out from the split ring to the combats, and reinstalled.

Took it out for a drive.

Shimmy is still there. So I figured as long as I was out and driving, Id run by the alignment shop. Its a buddy, from my wires high school days, and we bring some of our light equipment from work there.

Said he could do it an wouldn't charge me. NICE
So he got it on the rack, checked it and it was 3/16s off, so he got it all set properly. Said the tie rod ends were still not tight enough. So he did it all. Then he mentioned the shimmy is more than likely tire balance, as most of you have said. But I wanted to get it aligned to make sure that was taken out of the equation. He also asked what my tire pressure was at. I said 50, he said, WOW, WAY TOO HIGH. So he aired them down to 25 and said that might help.

Thanked him and promised to bring some ice cream, fire fighters pay for a favor, and left.

Got two blocks away where I could get up to speed, and HOLY CRAP, about yanked the steering wheel outta my and and thought the whole front end was gonna go flying off.

So Monday Ill be going to the local truck tire shop we use for fire engines. Think they are the best bet for balancing the tires and combats.
