I figured I would get you guys going here... Bring back some fond (and not so fond) memories of your first truck, or car or vehicle. Seeing that this is forumn '94, It takes me back to September of '94 when I bought my first truck, a 71 Dodge D-200 Camper Special. It had a 318 and Automatic. I had just turned 15 when I bought this, and I had to do alot of begging for my folks to let me have it. Well I got it. The ride home, considering I did not drive it(Dad did) was the best ride of my life. I bought the truck in Kinde Michigan, about 1 hour and 15 minutes away from where I Grew up at. The truck pulled to the right a slight bit, and had a loud muffler, but the origional AM radio worked like new the heater would run you out! I really enjoyed this old truck and I regret selling it in August of '98. IT is not living in the UP and being used as a parts truck for a '70 D-200 Crew Cab. I am collecting the parts to get and someday put together another '71 D-200 Camper Special . Enjoy the pics. The pic with the stake racks is from early 1995. As you can see, I was learning how to do body work, and the pic with the hood open is from 1996, when I was 17 working on it. How many of you had a Flat fender for a first truck?
