My first truck was my first vehicle. It didn't come untill I was 18 and employed full time. A brand new 1979 Toyota 4x4 pickup. (Hey I was young and didn't know any better.) The Toyota was the only new vehicle I have ever purchased. It was probably a good thing I got the Toyota though because in 5 year's time, I had totally thrashed it by modifying it with a custom lift, gears, and 40" tall tires, and four-wheeling it to death. I had wanted a new Dodge Power-Wagon W150 club-cab that I had seen on a dealer's lot in 1977 with the "War Horse" graphics package. At the time, I would have done the same damage to it without knowing it would be a classic today. A year later I got my first Power-Wagon. A '47 WDX which is still my main truck today. Fortunately, I had the sense to not treat it like I did the Toyota.
