So....dumb question.... Does the thicker part of the shim go at the rear of the spring pad or at the front?
Also, did you experience any interference between the spring bolts and their mating parts, now that the holes in the mating parts are effectively at an angle relative to the bolts, instead of being aligned? In other words, the bolts and the holes they go through are now cocked relative to each other. Did you have to open up the holes to be able to fit the bolts?
Also, the nuts and washers that thread onto the spring bolts used to fit flat against the underside of the "caps" beneath the axle housing, but will no longer be flat due to cocking mentioned above; did you have to do anything about that? Maybe use some kind of tapered washers?
Finally, do the shims have holes through them to accommodate the bolts? Or do they just fit in between the bolts? I guess they must at least have a hole in the middle of the shim to accommodate the single skinny bolt that runs through the middle of the stack of leaves and into the recess in the top of the spring pad.
