My truck has T214 running gear , 1942 . The drive yokes , either side of the transfer case, ie., from transmission side , to rear drive shaft side , are about half a spline out of alignment . The short intermediate driveshaft , has the late large U Joints , and the outputs have the smaller U Joints . With two small yokes in place , they line up , so it’s the large Detroit yoke that’s different .
Has anyone else come across this before , and how much of a worry is it , regarding vibration and U Joint wear ?
Am keen to hear some opinions . Thanks , Paul .
