Thanks for the reply’s guys . I probably didn’t explain it well enough before . The arrows on all the driveshafts are lined up . That’s not the problem . It’s the difference in position , ( from being dead in line with each other ) between the large yoke on the gear box side of the transfer case , and the small one on the rear driveshaft side . I’ve determined that the two yokes are “ clocked differently , by about 1/2 a spline . The shaft splines are in line , because if I Place a small yoke on either end , they line up perfectly . So it’s how the late large yokes have been machined or “ clocked “ 1/2 a spline different to the small yokes . They are all original parts , and both the late large yokes on the short driveshaft between the gearbox and transfer case line up perfectly .
I would like to know if anyone on the forum has come across this difference before , and , is half a spline different , enough to cause damage to the U Joints , or unwanted vibration ?
I hope this explains my problem a bit better .
