Mike Stone has made the point that Michelin XL and XZL radials are now well over their stated useful life span of 6 years.
Since most, if not all of those in existence here in the US were manufactured no later than 2003 (I believe?), that makes them 10 years or older now.
Given this, has anyone experienced a failure or heard of any of the Michelin XL or XZL radial tires failing? Has anyone had any problems at all with them? If so, please let us know the circumstances.
I am curious because I recently purchased a "new" (never mounted) set of XZL's and wonder if I should be worried?
Thanks for the feedback!
Clark
