We're only concerned with tires on our trucks, not RVs or VWs.
It's likely that Micky Lin used different compounds on our GI tires. It's a good possibility that longer life was spec'ed in the mil std, what with pre-positioned ships parked around the globe.
But Mickey wouldn't tell the oubkic that their car tires use substandard compounds, eh? What about their big truck stuff? Earth movers? Still 6 years?
