In a recent forum, someone mentioned that a MU-2 drum holds 250' of 7/16" cable and 150' of 1/2" cable. Based on this info, it would seem that the drum would hold well over 300' of 3/8 cable.

If the 3/8 cable is rated at 7.6 tons or 15,200lbs, it is more that the rating of the MU-2 which were rated at 8, 10, and 12,000lbs.
