Bell housing not quite tried up...

My bell housing is .007 out of ttrue to the engine output shaft. I worked for two hours loosening using the mallet and re tightening to no avail. The specs in one book say no more then .003 another book says no more then .oo5

What is you alls experience on the matter? The only way I know I might be able to true it any closer would be to file the pins, but my guess is there is not enough play in the existing bolt and bolt holes to move the bell housing over.
