I have a cast iron radiator outlet I would like to modify so that the neck points in a slightly different direction. It's not on the radiator.
I could cut the piece and re-weld or braze it. But, I figure it might be easier to just heat the outlet and bend the neck in the right direction with a piece of pipe.
I'm pretty sure I could do this if the piece was mild steel. But, I can't remember bending cast iron like that.
If I heat the cast iron red hot, will it bend or will it break before it moves much?
