Just laid down $1K for a new compressor and I'm gonna mount pipe overhead with drops at specific locations.
I've read about every Tom, Dic and Harry setups out there. They all sound good but I think it's comparible to Dodge,Ford and Chevy as to what system works best.
My first choice is 3/4" or 1" black steel pipe.
I'm not considering galvanized because galvy does flake and it's more expensive than black pipe, . .at least in my area.
My tool dealer has this new fancy aluminum tubing with push on connectors that comes in every configuration. Cool idea and not too much more than running black pipe. The down side is the plastic, plug and play connectors. I don't like anything made of plastic.
PVC, . . where do we start? I think PVC was meant to channel water and buried underground. However, a good friend of my has an auto repair business w/ two shops running 2stage compressors cranked all the way up. These are piped with PVC and has absolutely no complaints.
So, let the stories commence. Which route do I go?
