That's a good idea. I did that with the 120 V outlet circuits in my wood shop. It only added about 10' to the wire run by the time I got all the way around the shop, and even though it wouldn't make any difference code-wise, it would stiffen up the circuit for better starting of motors that draw a lot of start-up current. Might as well do the same thing with air lines if you're putting outlets all around the edge of the shop.
