This is on my boat and hey yes Crysler did build boats.
I have a fishing boat with dual batteries seperated by an isolation switch. I bought a used 24 volt bilge pump because of its high capacity thinking I could wire it to the 2 batteries.
The first problem to overcome was to keep intact the 2 batteries isolation. I thought I could run 2 wires forward to the console and use a double pole switch which would keep the batteries isolated when not in use.
I then ran into a second problem in trying to wire the batteries in series for 24 volts in that they are both individually grounded to the hull, one battery will then become dead ground if I leave the ground wire intact.
Does anybody have any idea how I can overcome this problem?
