Using the B5.9, you will not be able to keep her looking as original as possible. The firewall will have to be cut and a dog house built under the dash to cover the opening.
Fuel Gauge no issue if you use the original tank. Temp Gauge no issue is you use a mechanical gauge. Oil Gauge no issue if you use the original mechanical guage. Use a current shunt on the amp gauge. A friend gave me one that brought the amp gauge into range. It does not read accurate but works. I have a volt meter to show actual battery condition. Speedo, no issue, its mechanical, you my need to use a ratio correction gear set depending on the rear end ratio and tire size.
