Diesel truck question

I've been thinking about get a diesel truck but I'm new to them and have a question for you guys. What type of problems should I look for that are specific to the diesel trucks? I've mostly been looking at the '91-'93 Dodges. Any of you advice/opinions will be appreciated. Sorry for the longer post and thanks to all in advance.
