Obama, Clinton, Bush... they all think it's wonderful. They're proud to be "global citizens" rather than "American citizens". I have my doubts about how wonderful it is. China's got us by the short-n-curlies, but we have them by theirs too.

They squeeze ours, and we squeeze theirs. If they stop lending us money, we stop buying their stuff and selling them food, and they have a billion people rioting. On the other hand, if we stop buying their stuff, they stop lending us money, and our economy looks like Zimbabwe in a few years. It's "mutual assured destruction" without the mushroom clouds. At least for now.
