there was all those changes too but I pick that year because that is when it appears the power in industry shifted from the desginers and engineers to the CEOs. I have met a couple GM engineers that were employed by them in that era and they informed me that is when the massive stripping of power from the innovators began. the begiinning of the global BS theories from a bunch of pencil necks.
