...Correct. My Ford Exhaust brake is NOT as good as your Cummins exhaust brake due to hydraulic lifters on my Ford. Your Dodge exhaust brake can block MORE exhaust thereby creating MORE resistance / drag and slows you guys down much better than my Ford. My Big Truck (my Peterbilt) has the standard Jake Brake which opens the exhaust VALVES when the compression stroke compresses the air RIGHT before it ignites to create a power stroke. For instance if the engine uses NEGATIVE 10 units of power to compress the air which turns into a power stroke of POSITIVE 50, then the engine has CREATED 40 units of power. By letting out the compression BEFORE it turns into a power stroke, the energy is NEGATIVE 10 because the compression stroke USED power and was not countered by a power stroke. This slows down the engine directly. This was invented by Clessie Cummins (of Cummins Mfg.) and handed to the Jacobs Mfg. (as in drill chucks etc.) Company to develop.

But nothing beats the d-d-d-d-d-d-d.....
