Front bed panel installation ?

I am putting the bed together on my '57 K6-W300 ffpw and have a couple questions.

Do the lips on the front bed panel go on the inside or the outside of the bed sides? I currently have the lips on the outside.

Does anyone have close-up photos of the strips that attach to inside of the bed sides? Mine were already gone and I have no idea what they look like or how they mount.
