M37 Rear Shock Mounts on a 1950's Power Wagon

Sorry to repost this, but it was posted just before the forum was "cleaned".

Has anyone tried to put M37 Rear Shock's (axel + frame mounts) on a Power Wagon?

They look like they should fit; and with the rising price of PW Rear Shock mounts this could be a cheaper alternative.
