All right, so now 87 octane gas can be had here in the Scottsdale - Phoenix (AZ) area for maybe $2.34, which is great because my W-500 gets maybe 7 miles per gallon. But diesel? The cheapest I've found is $2.85, which really makes me mad since most of my driving is in my '01 3500 4x4.
The excuse of the week is "well, ultra-low sulfur is coming and..." During the winter it was, "demand is very high due to the need for heating oil." What's next?
The truth is, of course, that we are being had, peeled like a grape, taken to the cleaners, bent over the rail and - well, anyway, you get the idea. And it isn't going to get any better.
I feel a little better now. Thanks.
