The 318 has a longer stroke than either the chevy 350 or ford 351 and has plenty of torque.
Using the 318 w/360 heads and intake,along with the MoPar 340 purple cam, you get a poormans 340 and reduced fuel consumption as opposed to the 360s gas guzzeling nature.
If a 230 L-head can power a 3/4 Dodge, than
surely a 318 has more than enough power!
