No way I would use the clutch arm to hold the drum against the bracket. There is enough force generated in some uses to bend and crack the huge bracket. And we've all seen enough missing/broken clutch arms.
If Nick has all his spacers in, perhaps he has some ovalled mounting holes or even a tweaked gear housing? OR a mis-drilled aftermarket bracket? Hmmm, in fact, regardless, welding up the holes and redrilling might be an invisible fix, move the bracket closer to the drum?
Hey Nick, is the end of the shaft flush to the surface of the bracket?
