Going Dodge would require a front axle with the differential on the driver's side. In 94 Dodge went to the driver's side drop on their transfer cases. To my knowledge 5-speed OD 4x4 transmissions weren't available in the pre-94 era of passenger's side drop transfer cases, but I could be wrong. I do think they had 5-speed 4x4's but not OD.
