Pulled the transmission today and put it in my shop. Had a idea about the slipping part and pulled the pump and Reverse/3rd Gear Clutch pack out since it was easy to do. Took it apart and counted the disks and steel plates 6 steel and 5 disks just like the kit gave me! Got the book out and I will be dammed there is 6 and 6 they left one out of my kit I bought!! Took one of the good ones from the old parts put it in and all back together every thing turns and works the way it should. If it did not need 6 disks it would have jammed up tight and it did not. So I will put it back in to see if it works once more! If it does it will stay in and I guess I have a rebuilt $1,395.00 TH400 being shipped to me for a extra transmission for my Chevy. I am pissed that it was left out of my kit but I should have caught it like I did just now. If this solved the problem with my old one at least I did not waste $800.00 in the rebuild and did it right this time!
