Mike: I believe you are one of the tire experts on here. Could you explain the new terminology in tires for me? I have a 2003 Ram 2500 with 17" wheels from the factory. I bought a set of Maxxis Buckshots (305 70R 17), which are 33.5" in diameter. I also have a '66 F350 on which I put a set of Buckshots (305 85R 16), which are 36" in diameter. Why are the 16" tires 2 1/2" taller than the 17". Also, I am looking for a set of highway radials (Michelin, or similar) in the same diameter (33 1/2" max, due to wheel wheel opening limitations). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Jerry Henry
