OT Building a work shop

I am beginning the process of constructing a garage/shop on my property. I can pour a slab no bigger than 30'x24'. The 30' would be across the front. What would be a good style building to erect on the slab? What are the benifits of a steel building? What are the benifits of a wood framed building? What about a storage loft? I would also like a 1/2 bath. I have a lathe and mill and general shop equiptment. Any ideas on design?
