I'm sure this is a stupid question, but here goes anyway.
A while back I had a major leak in the gas tank in the cab of my 1962 W300. The tank was fixed, but as a result I had a powerful gas smell in the cab. During the summer I pulled the seat and completely scrubed everything, but you still end up smelling like gas when you drive (or ride) in it, as I was reminded today when I came back from a full day of driving it. It isn't a slight smell either, pretty noticable.
I suspect I need to have the seat re-apolstered, given as the odor must be completely in it, and perhaps scrub it all down again. Any ideas?
