I'm a little unsure about what to do. I know two farmers who want to part out a tractor and a combine. The combine has a 318-3, and the tractor has a 225-3. Both machines are coming apart, so access is not a problem.
I know Helitool has a kit for a 318 conversion, but has anyone thought of putting a slant six in a wagon? I tried Jon Eickof about his /6 M-37, but I didn't get a response. I have a 1952 PW with no motor or tranny in it, and a 727 sitting in the garage. The tranny shouldn't be trouble.
I guess the real question is, which motor would be the best swap? I want something with nuts, which both motors have. Speed is not an issue.
I'm leaning toward the 225 and maybe saving the 318 for a W-300. Where would be the best place to start looking for info on putting a 225 into a PW? Anyone have an idea? Thanks for the help, guys.
