Disc brake conversion

The saga continues, I have installed and replumbed a new 1 and 5/16 bore master cylinder on this 1954 flat fender, now I have a great high firm pedal, before this I could not achieve a firm pedal now the pedal effort is to great, the truck barely stops. The truck has 37" tires on stockton wheels, it is a v-8 conversion with a very heavy flat bed on it.
Maybe the truck is to heavy for the disc brake conversion, or maybe the brake booster is to small. I could go to a hydroboost as it does have power steering. Input appreciated.
